Joining The Guild

The Guild is open to all writers who are Catholic, regardless of genre, experience, or whether you write books, articles, screenplays, or even poetry! We are also open to editors, publishers, illustrators, and cover artists. The one thing we hold in common is our Catholic values.
Dues are $40 annually.

Catholics Pleasing God in Our Craft

Who Can Join the Guild?

Anyone involved in writing and publishing is welcome to join the Guild regardless of experience. You don’t need to write explicitly Catholic works, either. However, we do require all members to be practicing Catholics loyal to the Magisterium. Orthodox and other non-Roman Catholic faiths that are in communion with the Catholic Church are also welcome. Catholics in RCIA can join but cannot hold office.

What Our Members Say

“I am supported every single day in that mission by all my friends on Heartbeat and then yearly at the live and online conferences. From prayer to specific suggestions and everything in between, this is a loving, supportive, and encouraging group!”

“I was looking for a critique partner that would understand the Catholicism in my novel. What I found was not only many critique partners but vast opportunities for networking with authors, editors, and publishers; a supportive group of like-minded writers; opportunities to hone my craft and develop publishing and marketing skills; prayer support; and friendships.”

(They are) creative Christians who place a sacramental worldview at the foundation of what they write and convey God’s incarnational love in print to help make a positive difference in people’s lives–generous givers who want every writer to be the best they can be and succeed.
